"BUT NOT HERE- While excess water is being run off Lake Wawasee and Syracuse, Dewart Lake five miles away is hanging on to all the water it can get.
A dry summer and water leaking out of the lake through a gravel vein lowered Dewart last year and many piers such as these are left high and dry. Meanwhile
172 cubic feet a second of water is runnig out on Lake Wawasee into Turkey Creek a few miles to the North."
